When you get a hold of tech support, please understand that, they are being exploited for their intelligence, well, most of them.
They are forced to say what they do not want to. Apologizing was a sacred word; it used to mean something, now it is a corporate catch phrase. Please be kind, when dealing with these people.
They deal with angry people all day, it isn’t their fault the product doesn't work. Let them try to help you.
Yes, some are not deserving of their seats, they will be discovered in time, and removed.
Please do not vent to them, they have a forced talk time to get you off the telephone. It isn't that they do not care, they, don't have time to care. A lot of them actually do care, and suffer the price with their jobs, it isn't personal. They have to get you off the telephone, if they don’t, you both lose. They lose their job, you don’t get the service you want. They get replaced by someone who can’t speak the language perhaps, or doesn’t have a clue what the product is because they are so new.
Does it sound like we know a thing or two, we do. You will get more flies with honey.
However, if you truly want what you want, get mad, and stay vocal, be persistent, and do not give up, at all. You will get what you want, with the finest of service. It isn’t always the first call that wins the day. Escalate, escalate, and escalate. Do not be mean to the front line soldiers, unless they are first.
Learn from this wisdom.
To the tech support person, understand, we were there once. We know that your ears hurt, and we understand, we just want service that we are paying for. It isn't personal.
